Join us for a two-day workshop on September 22–23, 2025, combining theory and hands-on sessions focused on the Super FX Correlator (SFXC). This workshop is ideal for those interested in using SFXC for software correlation of data from their own VLBI instruments (or other long-baseline radio interferometers), as well as scientists looking to exploit SFXC's advanced features by doing their own correlation.
Registration deadline
May 25, 2025
Participation
Participation is limited to twenty (20) individuals to ensure an effective teacher-to-student ratio during the practical sessions. If more than 20 registrations are received by the deadline of May 25, 2025, participants will be selected based on responses to the survey in the registration form (see the link below).
Topics
Lectures will be given by SFXC developers, JIVE experts, and experienced external users. Topics include:
- Correlator models
- Correlation preparation
- Mixed-bandwidth correlation
- Geodetic correlation
- Real-time correlation
- Post-processing of correlator output
- Using SFXC for space science
- Using SFXC for FRB localization
